When It's Okay to Eat 100 Pieces of Chocolate
About 91% of women enjoy chocolate and about nine percent of women lie about enjoying chocolate. The stereotype is true and it's no secret that women love chocolate. There are all these scientific studies that prove why women enjoy chocolate: it has to do with the enzymes and all sorts of sciency stuff, but mainly it's because of one reason: chocolate is delicious.
Pure dark chocolate is extra special because there are added health benefits to eating it. So when you decide to eat 100 pieces of chocolate in one sitting, you won't feel totally disgusting. Eating that many pieces of chocolate, actually, is completely acceptable in a few very specific situations.
After a Breakup
After a breakup, you can pretty much get away with anything. Especially eating chocolate. That's pretty much why it was invented, anyways. About 22% of all chocolate is consumed between 8pm and midnight and about 99.9% of all chocolate is consumed on the couch, snuggled up, watching John Cusack hold a boombox above his head. If you are going through a breakup and your friends don't "approve" of you eating 100 dark chocolate bars in one sitting, then they are not your friends.
After a Big Accomplishment
Just graduated? Eat all the chocolate you want. Just got that promotion at work? Sounds like time for a chocolatey celebration. Finished all your goals for the week? Sit back and enjoy some dark chocolate. Woke up on time? No one has ever been more deserving of chocolate than you are right now. Remembered that one song that has been bugging you all day? Yes! You should celebrate with about 100 dark chocolate pieces!
Just 'Cause
Obviously, we can't just sit and wait to go through a breakup or a huge accomplishment to happen before we dive into a mountain of dark chocolate. There have to be a few exceptions. "Just 'cause" sounds like a great reason to me. Maybe you're just in a bad mood and you know all that chocolate can help get you out of your funk. Maybe you're in a great mood and you just feel like having some tasty dark chocolate. Maybe it's Tuesday, which means it's time for some chocolate.
Every year, more than 7.2 million metric tons of chocolate is consumed around the world. That's a lot of breakups, accomplishments, and just becauses. Don't ever feel bummed over the amount of deliciousness consumed in one sitting. Stay in contact with chocolate suppliers who have dark chocolate in bulk, have a Cusack flick or all of the Harry Potter films queued up, designate a "just 'cause" time, and enjoy 100 dark chocolate bars (or more).
